Inspired by Edvard Munch "Puberty" and the verses "My cocoon tightens, colors tease" and "A dim capacity for wings / Degrades the dress I wear"from a poem by Emily Dickinson, my work explores a new contemporary and conceptual way of the "female gaze" from the men's point of reference of a woman's identity as an artist, capable of dreaming and painting a magical and symbolic world that though chaotic, holds promises. At her feet, is a dog, a spiritual symbol of faith and loyalty to her dreams.


My Cocoon tightens – Colors tease –
I’m feeling for the Air –
A dim capacity for Wings
Demeans the Dress I wear –
