In this drawing, I used sooting as the initial technique to construct each individual organic shape. The result is a symbolic and conceptual portrait of nature or the sprouting cycle of a plant. The drawing has a baroque quality to it, to reaffirm its strong and dramatic presence. In this drawing, I am also exploring the characteristics of identity: flowing, merging into new forms, and thriving.
